amplificateur à base de circuits LT

French to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng schematic design software
permet de calculer le bruit produit par un amplificateur à base de circuits LT et de choisir celui qui est le mieux adapté à vos contraintes.

low tension?

RHELLER (asker) Sep 26, 2005:
For those electronics fans, here is the final version: used to calculate the noise produced by an amplifier based on LT circuits
RHELLER (asker) Sep 20, 2005:
Thanks Dusty, I guess I need to improve my "question asking" skills. I forgot to include the part with the company name in my Qs to my engineering family.
Tony M Sep 20, 2005:
I'm sure that must be Linear Technology, in that case, Rita....
RHELLER (asker) Sep 20, 2005:
here is an example of what I found on google but it is a big leap because I am not sure of LT

Hi Dusty- (another idea could be linear threshold)
This is an article aimed at electronics hobbyists & professionals who build their own circuits;they are reviewing many different types of software which can be of assistance when building a circuit. Here is a bit more of the text: Mentionnons aussi, car cest un produit peu courant, Noise de Linear Technology qui, comme son nom lindique, permet de calculer le bruit produit par un amplificateur base...(same as original)
I did find low voltage amplifiers but am not sure
Tony M Sep 20, 2005:
Rita, I'd be a bit surprised if it was Low Tension --- FR usually uses BT, and besides, 'low-voltage circuits' wouldn't make a lot of sense here; sorry, for the moment I can't think of anything better... Do you know what these circuits might be in?

amplifier using Linear Technology circuitry

I feel pretty sure that it HAS to be this, Rita --- not sure why they chose to capitalize it, unless it's being used here as a proper name?

Sorry, regarding your other question, I've not come across the term; there are also such things as 'self-starting oscillators', but I'm not sure; it's hard to know if this is being cited as a deliberate, desirable feature, or an indavertenet and undesirable one...!

If this is being used as a proper name, it would be '...using LT circuits' (or '...circuits by LT') and NOT '...circuitry'

But I strongly suspect it is simply 'linear [as opposed to digital] circuitry' --- because digital circuit noise is easier to predict, and hence there is less need to 'calculate' it

Just to confirm, we all seem to be agreed that this is indeed referring to specific circuits produced by the firm Linear Technology, hence the capitals for the proper name, and in which case, my final suggestion would be:

"....amplifiers based on LT circuits"

I'm quite intrigued to know if these are circuit DESIGNS by LT, or actual circuits -- presumably 'circuits intégrés' = ICs, in which case it would be "...amplifiers based on LT ICs" or "...on ICs by LT"

I think you probably DO need to add in that presumed 'intégrés' in order for it to make sense; the problem being that we don't usually refer to ICs as (just) 'circuits' in English, so the use of the word tends to lead to the interpretation (as I had originally read it) of 'circuit designs', which I think is probably less likely here.

Merci, Philippe !
agree jacrav : Sorry, Dusty. I hadn't read everything you had suggested when I made my suggestion … Yes, it probably is a proper name …

Thanks, Jacrav! No probs... happens to all of us; but I think we're all on the same wavelength here :-)

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Dusty, you were the first one to figure out what LT stood for but you put it in the asker box. It would be unfair not to give you the points, but everyone else was very helpful too - I had just not made the connection and was searching for something that was right under my nose! Thanks a million :-)"
