French term
prise en main
French to English
Tech/Engineering
IT (Information Technology)
design software
Il a été écrit par un électronicien pour des électroniciens et de ce fait sa prise en mains est très facile et se réalise en moins d'une heure.
I saw it in the glossary as "handling" but it just doesn't sound right somehow for this application.
TIA

to get used to
as in ...and as a result is easy to get used to/get to grips with, which takes less than an hour.
More formally perhaps - to familiarise oneself with
(NB: the "get used to" version is in the Coll-Rob)

If you're dead keen on using a noun, may I suggest familiarisation?

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer.
Comment: "I decided to use familiarisation process which is a mouthful but it conveys the specific meaning. I also really liked mastering- thanks to everyone :-)"

support
Auraient-ils pu voulu dire « prise en charge »?
As in the software (was written by ...) and as such it is easily 'supported' in less than an hour.
(just guessing)

easy to use
How about just as simple as that? I think that is what they are trying to say. 'It is easy to use because made/written by an electronics engineer'.
