French term
Académie de Caen, centre de Montréal
French to English
Social Sciences
Education / Pedagogy
diplomas/degrees
Baccalauréat français - option sciences économiques
- Brevet d'étude du premier cycle du second degré
Diplômes délivrés par l'Académie de Caen, centre de Montréal
Faculté de Droit, Université de Montréal
This is the "education" section of a Fr-Canadian CV and I cannot find the website of "l'Académie de Caen" in Montréal. Of course, I know there is Caen in France - is this a branch? or a separate school?
any help appreciated - I am stumped
thanks in advance (rather urgent, I'm afraid)

Rita, French schools abroad are part of a French school district, my bac was with such a school with académie de Bordeaux.
Also, when they only have a handful of French schools in that country, one of those (or more) is used as a centre d'examen, meaning all the kids in that country or area have to take their exams in that one school vs their own.

: But there are only 3 private French Collèges in Montréal no "lycée" and none are affiliated with Académie de Caen

she didn't say *when* the degrees were conferred.

: There must be an exam centre that tests students for the bac that is granted by the A. de C. for people having taken the exam in Montreal

I don't think that's the way it works, based on my experience.

Comment: "I used "Académie de Caen, Montreal center" and the client seems satisfied. Thanks, Sarahl and Brigitte - these are difficult to sort out and I appreciate everyone's help."

2 separate schools
Since the cv mentions "diplômes" au pluriel, I think it's simply listing both schools.

BEPC et Bac Académie de Caen 14000, Diplome X de droit Faculté de Droit, Université de Montréal
As far as I know after searching, there is no agreement between the "Académie de Caen" and Montréal.
So the person probably got his BEPC and Baccalauréat français in "Académie de Caen"
-then went on to study law at "Faculté de Droit, Université de Montréal".
