it has been my good fortune to have
your other explanation, with regard to talent, would be 'she is gifted', i.e. talented, not 'she has been gifted'

My single mystical experience was a gift.
This is improper English, difficult to understand.
someone is gifted (usually used for high intelligence or extraordinary skills), we don't say "I've been gifted"

: Yes we do, Rita. http://www.commanderdave.com/p_a2_ive.html / Read the link I provided, Rita. Perfectly acceptable native speaker English. I have an MA in English. You don't think I'm careful of my choices?

be careful of your choices - the same author says things like: "There are insights to each piece is provided which includes specifications of the piece and written explanations" !//not only did I read it, I just quoted from it.

: You and I might not say it, Rita, but I do see and hear it in this sort of context. I fully agree with your suggested translation. The experience was a gift (from God or other powerful, mystical being).

it has been my privilege
Another option. "Good fortune" is a correct interpretation, but I think "gifted" carries the idea of being singled out (chosen) for something more than what people could ordinarily expect to receive or experience.
