"dope"

"Doping" in physics means introducing small amounts of impurities, deliberately, in order to get the newly-doped substance in question to behave in a different manner than the pure substance.

dope

To dope means to add some kinds of impurities which change the electronic properties
of the material. Change in bandgap witdh, conductance, etc.
