French term

processuel

French to English Social Sciences Psychology recognition at work

I have not found this term in my usual sources - thanks to all :-)

stage-like / processual

Hi Rita, I think processual is fine, but I would not say this is the most common term used in the literature ("stage theory" by people like Erik Erikson).

The "stage theory" is articulated in terms of "identity crises" at different stages of life... and "stage-like" is much more commonly used.

So, I suggest the alternative of "stage-like" (refering to life being developmentally "divided" into stages -- Life itself being a process. Hence, "processual"). However, "processual" and "stage-like" are not exactly interchangeable. So, you may want to make a choice.
